Alternative provision and education

Investing in the future is incredibly important. At A1PD we have come to realise that children do not have anywhere near enough access to coaching and mentoring outside the normal curriculum as they should. It has been reported that children are on waiting lists years long to receive treatment or guidance with mental health problems. This is simply not acceptable.

We approach our work with children using the same fundamental principles as we do with our corporate clients. Proactively not reactively. It is essentially about learning to understand one’s self. If one understands why something is happening, it is far easier to manage. We have highly skilled therapists, coaches and mentors that help children learn what is appropriate to help them at any age. With our guidance we have helped children get back into school, become more confident, resilient and equipped to deal with the general rigours of life.

We offer courses to teachers as we do with corporate management, spotting early signs of stress, mental health issues, substance abuse in pupils and how to deal with them proactively. Courses are also available to teachers themselves, we appreciate the difficulties they face on a day to day basis. The statistics for signed off teachers are worryingly very high, our courses are designed to prevent this.

It is our hope that the reported figures for children unable to find the help they need around these issues are improve dramatically and quickly. We are aiming to become a significant contributor to this positive change.
